Weather
Intermittent heavy snow, westerly and variable winds ~20-25mph at ridge tops.
Snowpack
About 10” of storm snow on melt/freeze crust.
Avalanche
Small soft/storm slab R2D1 that had a crown approximately 4-8” deep, broke approximately 50’ wide and ran about 50-75 vertical feet until the slope let up. Triggered on a small roll and broke between storm snow from the first and second wave. This layer could become more reactive and more consequential after tonight’s snowfall.
