Snowing heavily (S5) when we left around 5:30 PM.

Snowpack

There was about a foot of new snow up above 10,500 feet resting on a supportable crust everywhere we traveled today.

Avalanche

Easy to trigger small avalanches on any slope over 35 degrees that had about a foot of snow or more. Avalanches were not wide but would run far sliding on the crust.
