Weather
The past 3 days have had off and on very light snow with a total in that time of 3½" of new snow with water content of 0.34". The nasty wind died down yesterday while the snowpack is crusty in the morning and rotten in the afternoon. The past 24 hours was cloudy with scattered light snow and 2" new snow and water 0.18" and light SW wind. Currently cloudy and calm while barely snowing and the temperature of 19F is the coldest in 3 days. High temperatures have been above freezing since April 3 though yesterday reached just 34F after 3 record highs last week, including 2 days in the low 60'sF. Snowpack is at 26" but 2" of that is new snow and once it clears we should see the disappearance of the snowpack given the forecast for next week. Winter's snowfall is 44% below average but water content from snow is 'only' 23% below average as snow density is far above average. Water content of current snowpack is 12½" Past 2 years on this date were 20: and 27". So a dry one. billy.
