Rogers Pass Surface Hoar

Spent the day with a group looking at the snow and prepping for the weekend ski tours. We found very well preserved surface hoar at 1900m on both N and SW aspects. We executed a few tests all with moderate to hard results. Dec 15 SH down 100cm and Jan 4 SH down 80cm. We also observed recent Na avalanche activity from steeper terrain to approx. size 2 in the upper NRC bowl. Ski quality was excellent.
