Decent skiing on Hero's Knob today. Variable snow conditions, powder in some areas and crusts higher up. Snow pack conditions at test site indicated stable conditions. Still a few rocks out there, especially close to the ridge and at lower elevations. Stay safe out there!
Snowpack
Dug a pit on a roughly 30 degree slope. CTN, although there was multiple layers underlain with facet layers. The lower portion of the snow pack appeared to be well consolidated. Lower elevations also had smallish surface hoar, this disappeared around 2000m.
