Helm Lake

Skied toured up to Helm Lake. There's large surface hoar in shaded areas. The snow was nice to ride, very light, in protected areas. Heavy sun crust, 3cm, on steep 20 to 30 south facing slopes. In the valley, the snow isn't that wind effected, even though all the snow has been blown off the trees. We found light winds out of the south south west at about 5kn. Garibaldi lake is starting to have a small layer of ice form on it. Definitely not frozen.
