Watersprite Lake

Dug a pit to demonstrate to friends. No propagation or sudden collapse results from ECT. 10cm of newer storm snow on top could slide on crust layed from a hand shear. Several other layers throughout top 100cm had planar breaks when forced with a shovel. Took temperatures of top 100cm. 2-3cm down was 0.5C, and the lowest nesr the bottom of the top 100cm was -0.7cm. Ambient was 6C. This was around 3pm, mixed sun and cloud, but mostly sunny. Warmed than forecasted.
