Skied N/NE facing slopes in and around Joffre lakes. Variable snow surfaces in the alpine on the same aspects - typically 5-10cm 4F wind slabs or scoured. Jan 21 MFcr is generally down 5-15cm and supportive to skis above 1700m. Sheltered lee aspects skied best. In the morning, mod-strong SW winds in the alpine w/ wind transport evident. Temps in the aft rose but snow surfaces in polar alpine slopes remained cold and unaffected. No evidence of Na activity seen other than isolated instances of minor pinwheeling around rocks at TL. Ski outs through trees remain adventurous with poor coverage but are doable.
