Aurora Backcountry day at Joffre Lakes area. Skied the gully left of heartstrings on the approach up, see avalanche tab for more details. Continued on and put the boot pack in on Heart Strings and skied out from there. Warmer day than expected, mostly skied mash potatoes/ hot pow. Skin track ski out was pretty heinous!

Group was aware of a potential windslab problem on this line. 1st skier ski cut a size 2 on steep unsupported terrain at the entrance of the line. Second skier rode to a lower angle entrance skiers left, also ski cut and got caught in a second slide, size 2. They were able to stay on their feet, self extricate and sustained no injuries.
