After being turned back from our main objective by a nest of fallen aspen we went skiing at the Torpy Burn. Winds were calm and it snowed lightly all day on top of 15cm of new snow from last night. There was a thin zipper crust on top of the new snow but it didn’t affect ski conditions at all. Under the new snow things have set up into a pretty solid mid pack. The Dec 6th crust was down 85cm and well bonded on both sides where we checked near the top of the burn (1550m, South aspect). The overall height of snow was 205cm. We had a lot of fun with the fast skiing and light snow.
