Hannah Creek, Rossland Range

Raincrust down 25cm, crust was 3mm of clear ice with rough surfaces on both sides that seemed to be bonding. Easy results on two compression tests in storm snow but no result on the crust. Didn't see any evidence of buried surface hoar. Meltfreeze crust down 40cm in addition to the raincrust. Laminated mess of crusts at base of snowpack. Test site wasn't great as snowpack is low and bottom of pack had rhodo in it, open spot in trees but not fully an open meadow.
