Forest to the lakes was terrible, icy enough to use crampons. Crossed the 3rd lake, though in the middle of the night. Above was dust on crust, but enough to enjoy. See snow/avy tabs for danger signs on the alpine steeps

New snow reacted to 3 finger taps on a column test, below the crust required full arm swings. Both collapsed unevenly rather than cleanly breaking.

Couple sz1-2 slides on the way up Tszil, still soft/from the last 24 hours and had minimal new snow on top. Probably wind/storm snow that ran on a hard and slick crust.
