Popes Col

Narao trees had some soft snow with variable amounts of wind affect. Small/minor surface hoar in open treed areas on the way up through Narao trees. Hanging valley to Popes was wind scoured and not overly enjoyable. Small, isolated wind slabs in some areas but mostly just billet proof snow. Saw a large serac fail off of Victoria from the col. Mostly sunny throughout the day, light winds, clouds showed up on time around 1pm. Steep slope on skiers left from col slid in the past week, crown still noticeable up high, some blue ice showing.
