Skied with low expectation today, and was pleasantly surprised. Morning was cool and calm. 1300m freezing line for most of the day. Above 1300m no evidence of rain. Observed 3 sz 1.5s from the day prior on steep north facing terrain. Skied supported NW aspects all morning. At 1:00pm wind significantly increased to >40kmh ridge top from the SW. Within 30 minutes of increased wind a significant amount of isolated wind slabs failed and ran ~100m in steep north facing terrain. We had good turns on supported NW slopes. Above 1300m expect good snow, just below enjoy fields on cinnamon buns and schnibley bits, and below 1200 bring your goretex or swim suit.
