Spent the day skiing the shames backcountry around the second and third knolls. Had some great skiing in the 30+ cm of snow that fell in the most recent storm cycle. Observed some Na dry loose point releases in the chutes beneath North bowl and one larger sz 2 slab beneath a convexity at the third knoll that appeared to have released a few days ago. Did not make any other observations of a widespread Na cycle from the most recent storm. One skier in our group triggered a sz 0.5 soft slab on a convex feature. The crown was about 40 cm deep and about 2 m wide and ran on a very firm crust. We did not experience any other reactivity in the snow pack beyond this, including on other convex features. Hand shears did not produce any results.
