Weather

Temps warmest in several days, particularly in the sun. Winds calm. Wednesday's southerly winds had lightly cross-loaded most easterly ribs & gullies in 5 fingers area.

Snowpack

Same as observed Tuesday 12/30 w addition of some cross-loading from southerly winds. Snow depths & structure variable just below ridgelines. Well-developed, layered snowpack down to about 10,600'. Below that elevation, softer slab & thicker, softer weak layer. below ~10000', slab had softened noticeably since 12/30 - much more obvious trapdoor feel. Some sun effects.

Avalanche

Several connected slides on NNE side of Pinky Rib that were noted 1-1-15 from Ajax Mtn. 1 triggered slide 1-2-15. Both detailed below. No naturals observed.
