Snowpack
Skied into the Eldorado (11,800 North aspect) and then went across to the Colorado (a bit higher north aspect). dug around and did some column isolation 24" deep with ski pole. 2 dirt layers. First dirt layer 2" below surface. Second dirt layer 16" below surface. Got one clean shear plane 12" down but not on a dirt layer. Took a good pull to break it loose. Snow looked overall strong. No natural avalanches observed. Somewhat dense spring type powder and reasonably good skiing
