Weather
Light snow in the morning cleared to broken skies in the afternoon with some valley fog as well (clouds below 10,000'). The nearest weather station (at the same elevation and just over 1 mile north) recorded a daytime high of 27F with an overnight low of 12F. Winds were calm-light and generally in a southerly direction.
Snowpack
1 - 1.5 feet of new snow since 2/20. The new snow skied subtly more supportive today compared to yesterday.
Avalanche
A large natural on north through east, and perhaps into SE aspects, of McFarlane's Bowl at 10900'. The crown looked to be 1-2 feet thick and was in the exact same place that slid 12/24, and was compacted with a snowcat on 12/18. The avalanche propagated south onto the north facing rib that divides the bowl, and although I couldn't see if it propagted onto the SE side of the rib, I did see debris coming out from the southern half of the bowl and past the summer road cut. I couldn't see the full extent of debris but the avalanche looked to be D3. In addition, there was another sympathetic (AS/y) avalanche below the summer road cut on a NE aspect.
