Snowpack
Below treeline, all aspects: Poor bonding at new/old interface down 20-30cm with hand shears failing on isolation and shooting cracks when breaking trail. Test slopes were all negative, likely due to a very soft slab. We did not jump on any convex or very unsupported test slopes. NW facing near treeline: on a 20 degree slope in the backyard, we triggered a loud whumph, which cracked the slope 40' wide. There was a noticeable 1cm downhill movement of the slab. Digging showed a 5cm thick, fist hard basal facet layer.
