Weather
No freeze down low however there was a firm crust in the basin. Clear skies with a S wind 15-20 mph. Warm day, however, the steady wind kept the snow cold at higher elevations.
Snowpack
Firm crust with 2" of softened snow. The soft snow appeared to be from the most recent storm cycle.
Avalanche
Wet slough triggered while skiing an easterly aspect on Star (35-40 degrees, 13,000'). Pulled up to let it pass. The slough broke out a portion of the corn on the crust that ran 300' the debris were roughly 25' wide.
