Weather
Bluebird day, not a cloud in the sky. Warm, with a light to moderate NW wind keeping the snow surface cool.
Snowpack
About a foot of wintry pow from the last week, with a paper thin wind skin on the surface, resting on top of a thick M/F crust. Below the crust were moist rounds and meltforms to the ground. The snowpack in the alpine has seen less effects from the warm weather than anticipated. Relatively low slope angles in my area of observation may account for some of this, but there was little indication of wet or moist snow anywhere above 12,000'. A few point releases were visible in thin areas around rock bands but they were isolated, small, and limited to the recent snow.

A few tiny point releases visible in the alpine on a variety of aspects.
