Snowpack
Snowpack on S to SW aspects: HS 60 to 100 cm. Two crusts (Dec 21/22 and Dec 25) buried about 25 cm deep showing fair bonding, although the recent snow above is noticeably stiffer and slabbier today. In general, the snowpack is strong near the bottom (1F), although there is a spatially discontinuous layer of 4F+ mixed forms among talus. No propagation or clean shears from stability tests. Crusts are less pronounced or absent on more westerly terrain or at higher elevations. No recent avalanche activity or signs of instability on steep S to SW terrain except for one skier cut shallow pocket (30 ft wide) on a crossloaded slope which moved on the Dec 25 crust.
