Today in Silverton experienced light but steady snowfall all afternoon (At 9pm Still seeing light snow showers with 1.5" at my house in Silverton). Up on Red Mtn Pass mid-day, encountered a period of heavier snow - rate of S2 and evidence of such accumulation on the highway. Gusty winds were changing the snow-scape from yesterday, effectively redistributing snow along the pass (removing half of what was on the storm board yesterday). Also at pass level experienced a period of surface winds that were SWerly (15-20 mph)while weather stations showed ridgeline winds continuously from NW/upper 20's, with strong gusts in 50's 60's. Apparently a terrain anomaly.
