Snowpack

The snowpack is still quite thin (~1.5-2 feet with deeper drifts). The bottom half is made up of large faceted grains with snow from the past couple storms creating a slab on top. This slab is firm and reactive in wind loaded areas, especially with the weight of 2 people. Some collapses were large and rolling. Areas that were not wind stiffened showed only localized cracking and no movement. The snowpack remains thin and boney out there!
