Snowpack
There was obvious, significant wind loading that had been happening since the Jan 15-16 storm. New snow depth had been noted from 8-20 inches below treeline on Leeward slopes. Above treeline there was an obvious wind event taking place with the previous hard wind crust exposed in several areas of delta bowl. This hard wind crust appeared strong but is sitting atop, in places, several feet of significantly faceted snow, except where ground is exposed.
