Avalanche
On ski cut the slope released. It was a soft slab at ENE aspect 10,700ft 35 degree slope. The crown was 30cm deep and the failure layer was on surface hoar. I was surprised to see this on a relatively "side country" run. There is lots of snow left on the slope and I would suspect it is prime to propagate as well when the slab stiffens up.
