Obscured skiesTemps below freezing. Winds Mod W with Strong gusts. Plenty of snow being transported. S1 - 2 for 4 hours whilst we were there.
Snowpack
Snow depth 170cm. 30cm of new snow over a 1F and P midpack. No basal facets in our location. We were getting hard CT results Q2 on a graupel layer 50cm down and then Q1 shears on a layer 55cm below the surface.
Avalanche
One slab avalanche noted below treeline approximately 8000ft in a Steep Craggy Northerly Aspect. Natural trigger.
