Weather

HN24 was rain at 10,200 ft. There were some gusty northerly winds above 12,000 ft at 11 AM. Few to broken skies thru the day.

Snowpack

There was more runnel development with rain of 7-3-14. Most notable above 13,000ft. Some areas around the margins of snowfields were saturated and showed no structure. The biggest impact seemed to areas with a whiter snow....the more recent from back in May maybe. The redder snow was topping a solid crust. Did see some impressive red algae on the snow in Crystal Creek below the lower Crystal Lake.
