Snowpack

Windy day in the alpine with steady SSW winds 15-20 with 30+G. Significant snow transport with the 5" from yesterday morning. 30cm to 2m HS above TL and 2m and < at TL. Some isolated cracking and a few collapses right at TL below the "Landry Headwall". Observed many D1.5 and two D2 avalanches from recent windloading on NE aspects at and slightly above TL, but very little action in the Alpine. Surprisingly good skiing above TL and wide zones of ripple and movable sastrugi. We opted to not ski down into Commodore Gulch with our test results SP down 33cm CTH22 x3.
