Weather

Overcast. It never froze over night in Leadville. Snow was crusty. Sun poked through at 10:15. It never really corned up until lower down the mountain. Back at the car by 11:00.

Snowpack

There is a large cornice on the East side of the ridge. This had released in a number of places leaving large pieces of debris. There had been reaction from the slab following the extra weight. (Yesterday we saw this beneath North facing rock faces that had warmed and shed snow.)
