Weather

Intermittent snow showers throughout the day with breaks in the clouds at times. Cold temps and light wind not transporting much snow.

Snowpack

Below treeline is completely faceted with no slab similar to many other zones. Near treeline (especially within a few hundred vertical feet of ridgetop) the snowpack structure is not great with a slab over top of faceted snow to the ground. The slab/weak layer combination, for an unknown reason, is showing propagation potential where observations in previous days have found limited propagation potential. Above treeline terrain is highly wind-affected and the usual wind-loaded terrain features likely hold stiff wind-deposited snow over weaker snow.
