Overcast, Moderate S wind, air temp -6 C, snow surface temp -6c, 10cm below snow surface temp -7c. Precip S-1 at 2pm to s2 at 4pm. No blowing snow.
Snowpack
Surface was heavily rimmed precip particles, little to no temp gradient in top 10 cm of snow. 14 cm new snow in 7 days on double dip storm board. No direct signs of instability. High degree of variability. HS=85cm. Around 10cm new snow then slab 40 cm thick. Top of slab 30cm fist hard, then the lower 10cm of slab pencil hard over another 10 cm of fist hard facets, then a hard frozen facet layer at the ground. Reactive at 45 cm above the ground (possibly the Nov. 16 interface) with CTM 11(SC) and ECTP (SC). Boot and Ski Pen were about 10cm. Did not travel in Alpine or Below Treeline.
