Good quality skiing in Simpson Bowl with 20cm of new snow. Some buried soft windslabs up high reduced ski penetration on descent. Profile at 2300 metres on East aspect showed a low density upper pack overlying a strong midpack. No slab properties and insignificant results on compression tests. Basal facets unreactive.
