AST 2 Course Field Day Rode Ursus trees in deep powder. Snowpack assessment at the top of tree line on the W shoulder of the Ursus basin/Hospital Bowl. Snow flurries for most of the day with wind variable from the NW, higher wind speeds and snow transportation in the alpine. Sluffs seen on steep, unskiable ,rocky alpine faces.

Wind variable from the NW, higher wind speeds and snow transportation observed in the Alpine. Snow flurries during the day. Mostly overcast with flat light, short periods of clearing skies in between flurries.
