Obs from valley bottom. This slide path is a regular performer. Maybe a cornice drop or wind loading from new storm snow started a smaller slide up high and then triggered a deeper slab, propagating wider and scouring down to ground. Thick crown visible from highway (1.5 Meters?) where the slide stepped down and triggered deeper instabilities running almost full length scouring down to ground the whole way.
