Snowpack
Snowpack around Lincoln Falls was soft at 6:30 am indicating no freezing despite overnight temperatures falling under 30 degrees at 11k feet. Boot penetration was 6-12" in spots.
Avalanche
On the exit through Lincoln Falls via the climber's trail, I anticipated the high probability of a wet slide I cut across the slope multiple times to see if anything propagated. Snow felt very wet and I continued to push snow underneath me to get the top layer to release and flush out the wet snow, which released under my feet and slid about 150-200' below into some willows.
