Weather

Clear. Blowing snow at ridge top.

Snowpack

Storm snow ~ 15 cm. Wind affected in open areas. Hs ~30-50 cm.

Avalanche

Triggered a small avalanche with my ski pole. Northwest aspect. BTL around 10,800' 80' wide by 120'. ~ 15-20 cm deep. New snow failed on weak interface, either buried NSFs or possibly buried surface hoar. Other slopes with more sun exposure were less reactive.
