Weather

Mostly clear, cold day with noticeable cloud coverage far to the northeast of Baldy Mountain. Moderate winds gusting Strong mostly from the northwest loading east and southeast-facing slopes.

Snowpack

The shift to northerly wind stripped most of the low-density snow off northerly-facing slopes loaded east and southeast-facing slopes. Cornice growth can be seen on northeast, east, and southeast-facing ridgelines. Above treeline there is still a persistent weak layer from the FCsf prior to the Nov.2-4 storm but there is only an overlying slab on isolated, wind-loaded terrain features that is stubborn to snowpack tests
