Weather

Sunny and cold in the morning. Warmed up to about 20 F and became partly cloudy by 11:00 AM. No wind in the trees and didn't notice snow blowing from the ridge tops.

Snowpack

East aspect, below tree line, 10,500 ft. 10-12 inches of fresh snow above a harder layer. We observed some small cracking within the new snow around our skis but no shooting cracks. Test slopes didn't react.
