Snowpack

This area did not receive much snow during the mid-October storms. Perhaps 4 inches. This was enough to cover northerly slopes with a few inches of snow that is unlikely to melt. There were obvious signs of drifting during the storms with wind drifts up 10 inches deep near ridgelines and in cross-loaded terrain features. Snow is melting or has melted off of all southerly slopes. In this particular area, there wasn't enough snow for avalanches, even small ones.
