Weather

It was cold and windy with strong west winds. Periods of sun but then socked in again. S-1 with winds scouring the west aspects and transporting snow.

Snowpack

The new and wind transported snow was cold and dry on top of a melt freeze crust that was supportive to skis and boots and barely moist. The crust layer had dust in it and was warming when the sun poked out. below that on west ATL there were multiple melt freeze layers with ice columns. Underneath there were dry rounding basel facets.
