Cold morning in the Yule Creek drainage with temperatures in the high teens to low 20's at 09:00 AM. and warming to above freezing by 11:00 AM at 10,000 ft. Calm winds with some light gusts out of the northwest throughout the day. No snow transport observed on any ridgelines visible from Marble Peak.
Snowpack
Below the treeline had about 30-50cm HS on north and northeast slopes with a ski penetration equal to the HS. Well-developed Surface Hoar was found along the Marble Bowl drainage up to about 9600 ft. Near the treeline had a slightly deeper snowpack 50-70cm with a ski penetration averaging 30cm on north, northeast, and east aspects. Southerly facing slopes below and near the treeline have discontinuous snow coverage with thin patches of faceted snow and crusts. Isolated wind-loaded terrain features have a more rigid slab resting on top of weak snow. In very wind-loaded terrain features this slab is 1F to P hard and up to a foot thick primarily on northeast slopes.
