Heavy wind loading on easterly slopes, 25 degrees, overcast, 9-12” fresh snow

Snowpack

9-12” new snow, heavy wind consolidation, areas with deepest snow had about 1-12” of rotten base snow, another 6-12” of powder from last week storm, and about 3-6” of hard slab created by the wind from the new snow.

Avalanche

Large natural slide on the saddle of kitchen wall roughly 2-10 feet deep and roughly 500 feet wide. Small but deep skier triggered slide in a small chute, roughly 2-6 feet deep and 100 feet wide.
