Gusty near treeline with wind moving snow onto east slopes. Skies trying to break with the occasional blue patch to the west.

Snowpack

On east slopes near treeline new drifted slabs up to 10 inches thick were cracking and skiding easily on the old snow surface (~5cm thick melt freeze crust). These ran a short distance and did not entrain new snow (slope was only 30 degrees, would expect snow to run further in steep terrain.
