Weather

Sunny in am with high clouds blowing in by early afternoon. Temps in the high teens @ 9am. Lots of plumes coming off the high peaks in the morning. Gusts in the mid 30's. Winds starting to move snow around below treeline in afternoon.

Snowpack

Toured from 8800 to 10,200 feet on SE, E and W aspects. SP in this area was supportive to skis and boards, boot penetration to ground. Snow surface at 9000 feet wet by the afternoon. No signs of instability observed. Sheltered areas held good soft snow for riding up too 30* slopes.

Avalanche

Old avalanches observed deep in Ragged Wilderness.
