A full winter storm day! Obscured skies with low visibility, snowing S1 to S2 all day. Winds were light to Moderate from the NW and were loading easterly slopes.

Snowpack

We dug on a north facing slope at 12200'. The snowpack was thin in this area and likely scoured by previously strong NW winds. The Persistent Slab structure was still observed: 1 finger slab over 30cm of DH. An east facing slope in the same area had a similar structure with the addition of a thicker, more pronounced wind-slab on top of weak DH grains near the ground. The east facing slope was accumulating a freshly drifted slab 20cm thick.
