Weather

Low visibility on route from Chuck's Cabin to top of the ridge (11,200-11,900). Snow showers at time of departure (8am) increasing until 11. Sky obscured, then cleared to patches of sun around 12. Temps in the 30s with winds out of the west.

Snowpack

New snow accumulation of 3-4 inches, with drifting snow in open areas and at ridgeline of Wingle Ridge (11,900'). Propagating cracks and settling noticed on NE aspect at treeline. Snow on SW facing open slope produced roller-balls, snow felt heavy and dense (11,300-11,000').
