Weather

Breezy low in the basin before noon ~10-15mph with heavy winds at 12-13K ~40mph lots of blowing snow, winds out of WNW. Cloudless day, AM temps in single digits rising to well above freezing in the afternoon.

Snowpack

Wind slabs on E aspects and melt freeze crusts on all but Northerly aspects below new snow fall with MF forming on SE-SW aspects on new snow. 8-15" of new snow on old interfaces but appeared to be bonding well, test slopes on multiple aspects around 35 degrees would not go at tree line.

Avalanche

Saw about a dozen loose wet slides SE-SW running for 300-600', saw one wet slab (possibly triggered by cornice collapse) R1D2 all were going between 2-4pm.
