Snowpack
It was hard to find any snow that was more than about 10cm deep. What snow was on the ground was weak and faceted. The top 5 cm was unconsolidated sugar, which will be a weak layer once we get enough snow. The top half of the snowpack was a mixture of facets and some melt-freeze crust that was breaking down as it continued to facet. Some early-facing slopes have a little more continuous snow but are still very patchy and will likely be the areas that will be problematic for the rest of the season.
