Weather

S1 to S2 most of the afternoon - intermittent sun poking through. Moderate southwest winds along ridges with brief stronger gusts.

Snowpack

We found 3 to 4 inches of new snow below the treeline and 5 to 10 inches near and just above the treeline. Isolated drifts over a foot deep, but not continuous across slopes. Drifted slabs were overall soft (4F to 1F-) and unreactive to ski pressure. Hard hand shears at the new/ old snow interface mostly in drifted pockets. In sheltered areas, the new snow mostly collapsed under slight pressure. No cracking in the snow or audible collapses. Creamy undertones with down feathers on the surface.
